make Self in yr own Image, (2016).

Supposed Revelations is a collection of musings, questions, epiphanies, and reflections on physicality and consciousness. Using a variety of media such as printmaking, photography, writing, video, sculpture, and other digital processes, Stockton explores themes of femininity, religion, ritual, self and the other, anxiety, and corporeality. Her work introduces themes through conceptual aphorisms such as are you God or am I God? and making Self in yr own image, quirky phrases that double as both esoteric riddles and simple truths. The show tells a narrative of "self" by referencing diverse sources such as Catholic tradition, classical social theory, feminist thought, contemporary social media, and the artist's personal experiences.
