Chris Kraus is the author of four novels and two books of art criticism, most recently Summer of Hate (2012) and Where Art Belongs (2011). Writing in the New York Times, Holland Cotter described her as "one of our smartest and most original writers on art and culture." Kraus recently curated Radical Localism—Art, Media, and Culture from Mexicali Rose at Artists Space in New York City. A frequent contributor to Artforum, Art in America, and other magazines, she teaches at European Graduate School and lives in Los Angeles.
