- Recently, Bradley Borthwick (M.F.A. ’05) was awarded a 2011 Canada Council for the Arts Grant, and Monique Crine (M.F.A. ’08) was awarded a 2011 Pollock-Krasner Grant. The pair continues to live and show in Denver and across the country.
- Joel Carreiro (B.F.A. ’71) is currently director of the M.F.A. program at Hunter College. Last fall, Carreiro presented a mid-career survey of his work at Fairfield University, which was then shown at University of Tennessee–Knoxville this spring and will be at Muhlenberg College in the fall. Carreiro curated All Intellectual Animals are Dangerous, which opened in New York City’s Lab Gallery in October. Also in October, Carreiro collaborated with Brett DePalma to curate Utopia and Wallpaper at the Catskill Art Society in Livingston Manor, New York.
- Peter Gerakaris (B.F.A. ’03) exhibited a hexagonal diptych in Art Current gallery in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in April. He also had several tondos on display at the Funkadelic Exhibition at the Lancaster Museum of Art in late March, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
