President David Skorton and his wife, Professor Robin Davisson, invite AAP students to submit original artwork for consideration in the design of their 2011 winter greeting card to be given to university alumni, trustees, and other friends. The winning image will accompany a haiku written by President Skorton and Professor Davisson and receive a $500 cash prize.
- Artwork in all types of media will be considered
- Still images only
- Entries should focus on a winter theme and be respectful of the diverse nature of the university, rather than reflect a specific holiday
- Images containing holiday elements or religious symbols should not be submitted
- Naming convention for files is: First name_Image title
- Images should be submitted as PDF documents and emailed to aapdean@cornell.edu
- The email must also include: Title of work, entrant’s name, phone number, and NetID
- All entries must be submitted by October 10
- Late entries will not be accepted
- Winning submission may be used in both electronic and hard copy versions of the card
