Faculty Profile

Shara Wasserman has taught the Cornell in Rome course, Modern Art in Italy, for over fifteen years. In addition to Cornell, she holds a teaching position at Temple University's Rome Campus where she has been the Director of Exhibitions since 1990. She is an independent curator, focusing primarily on organizing exhibitions in public spaces of fellows' residents at the foreign academies in Rome.

Wasserman received her M.A. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, in 1984, specializing in late nineteenth century Italian art.
