Department of Art Fall 2012 Lecture Series

Sheila Pepe’s work has been in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and is in the permanent collections of the Harvard University Art Museums, Smith College Museum of Art, and the Rose Art Museum. She has won several awards from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, and Anonymous Was a Woman Foundation among others. She was also a recipient of an Art Matters grant to produce the last in the series Common Sense in Athens, Greece in May 2012. Pepe’s most recent exhibition, Participant Inc. Presents Pepe & Puntar's Lucid Dream Lounge with Invited Guests, opened in April 2012 in New York City. She is represented by Sue Scott Gallery in New York City and will have her first solo show with them in November 2012. Pepe lives and works in Brooklyn and also serves as acting assistant dean at the School of Art and Design at Pratt Institute.
