Alumni Profile

In 2009–10, Sam Jury was artist in residence at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin. She has lived and worked in both the U.S. and Middle East and has exhibited internationally with solo shows in London and New York. She has curated group exhibitions in China, Spain, and Switzerland. In 2010 her video installation Forever is Never was shown on campus at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. She returned to Cornell the same year to give a presentation on her work and conduct tutorials with students on the M.F.A. program.

 

Jury graduated with an M.F.A. in painting from Cornell in 1998 followed by a two-year fellowship in print and digital media at the Royal Academy Schools–London.
