Curated by Brian Carter, professor and dean of the Uinversity at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning, this exhibition of drawings, models and photographs documents a new international design award-winning school in Ladakh that is deply rooted in traditional values and cultures while advancing modern educational concepts. It is located at the northeastern boundary of India -- an area known as LIttle Tibet, which is set in the high peaks of the Himalays.

The Druk White Lotus School was designed by a team of teachers, architects, planners and engineers to provide a new educational community for children in Ladakh. It is a multi-award winning NGO inspired by the vision of His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa, Ladakh's spiritual leader. The school provides a practical, modern, education that is grounded in Ladakhi culture and prepares its children to lead happy and productive lives.
