We require an interview for all applicants to the Bachelor of Architecture program except those who have attended Cornell's Summer Program: Introduction to Architecture. The purpose of the interview is to explore your interest in architecture and to understand how that interest developed.
For the 2009–2010 admissions year, the Department of Architecture will not be requiring undergraduate architecture applicants to have a personal interview. Instead, we are requiring that all applicants write a special interview essay using the questions in the PDF below as a guide. You can either email your responses to aap_admissions@cornell.edu, or mail your answers along with your portfolio by the appropriate interview/portfolio deadline:
