Sylvia Rose Augustus “Orchids”

Kansas City, Kansas photographer Sylvia Rose Augustus (M.A. ’90 in historic preservation) and photographer Marian Brickner of St. Louis, Missouri have teamed up to showcase their prints of water lilies and orchids. Their work will be on display at the Greater Kansas City YWCA through June 9, 2009.

 

Augustus works as an architect for the General Services Administration in Kansas City, Missouri where she coordinates the public art and historic preservation programs. She serves on the board for the Kansas City Jewish Museum and Imago Dei–Friends of Christianity and the Arts and on several public art and artist's selection panels for local counties. In addition to her Cornell degree, Augustus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Architecture from the University of California–Berkeley.

 

Marian Brickner’s photographs have been published in her coproduced children's book I'm Lucy: A Day in the Life of a Young Bonobo, St. Louis Magazine, St. Louis Symphony Playbill, Jewish Light, Missouri Conservation Magazine, and the International Journal of Arts Medicine.
